CyberFirst Girls Competition 2020 coming soon!

The registration for CyberFirst Girls Competition 2020 opens on 2 December 2019 at www.ncsc.gov.uk/section/cyberfirst/girls-competition.

Free to enter, this exciting competition looks for 12-13 year old girls (Year 8) to form teams and take on an online round of codebreaking challenges.

The highest scoring teams go through to semi-finals, taking place on 8 February 2020 in locations across the UK, and the Grand Final on 15-16 March 2020, where they'll compete in a simulated real-world cyber incident.

As well as gaining skills in computing, teamwork and problem-solving, the girls will enjoy incredible experiences - attending exciting venues, meeting senior public figures, hearing from female leaders in tech, and finding out what their future in this field could look like. Previous winners met the Queen as part of GCHQ centenary celebrations!

Last year, nearly 12,000 girls took part, 98% of whom said they would now like to learn more about cyber security!
