Caring together - Young carers awareness day event

The Young Carers Awareness Day is on Thursday 30 January and the Caring Together and Carers Trust charity is working with Magdalen Gates Primary School in Norwich to put on an event which they'd love for some other infant/primary schools to attend.

Caring Together and Carers Trust charity has produced a young carers' awareness-raising resource and animation, specifically aimed at Key Stage 1 pupils (5-7 year olds) to help them better understand about young carers (and hopefully help increase early identification). Magdalen Gates helped the charity produce the resource and the story which the animation brings to life and so they are hosting an assembly and a session for school staff from 12:45pm-2:30pm where they will be sharing the resource as well as information about our Carer Friendly Tick (Education) Award.

Places are very limited so are limited to a maximum of one place per school.
