NQT Talent pool 2021 now open and it's better than ever

Our well established NQT talent pool is now open to new applicants. We have already been inundated with applications from trainee teachers, keen to work in Norfolk schools. This year the talent pool will also include NQT's who were unable to secure their first teaching roles last year, because of the impact of the pandemic. This means the pool will give you access to a large and diverse number of enthusiastic candidates, keen to start their first role.

Last year you regularly requested searches from us, when looking for NQT's to fill teaching roles within your schools. This enabled a record number of NQT's to gain their first teaching roles as a direct result of being in the pool. The pool is designed to offer you another way of accessing more candidates for your teaching vacancies, as well as the usual recruitment methods e.g. advertising.

Over the last few months, we have been working with teacher trainees via training providers in the eastern region to promote the NQT Talent Pool and prepare teacher trainees for the recruitment process e.g. we undertake workshops and 1:1 sessions on interview technique and applications.

New for 2021 - Plus 1 and 2 Teacher Talent Pool

In addition to our NQT Talent pool, this year we are launching the 'Plus 1 and 2 Teacher Talent Pool'. This is a pool of NQT's who have one or two-years' experience and are looking for the next step, or challenge, in their career.

We are continuously looking for ways to bring you more candidates for your vacancies so that you can only recruit the best. We hope that this new talent pool will give you even more choice and a diverse pool of candidates to appoint from.

It operates in the same way as the NQT talent pool in terms of how you request a search. Please see below for how to access the pools.

This year we are also advertising the talent pools nationwide to attract NQT's and teachers in the early stages of their career, from all over the UK. This will help to bring fresh talent into your schools and reduce the number of vacancies that arise.

How to access the pools

If you are looking to recruit to a post for September 2021 that may be suitable for a newly qualified teacher, or a teacher in the early stages of their career, you can use the NQT Talent Pool or Plus 1 and 2 talent pool as part of your candidate search.

When submitting a recruitment advert simply complete the 'NQT Talent Pool' section on the Instruction to Advertise form and all suitable applications will be sent to you prior to your advert closing date. Alternatively, if you upload your own adverts; don't use the instruction to advertise form or want to search the pool before any other recruitment activity (customers who buy our HR Service A and F only), please email us at jobads@educatorsolutions.org.uk to request a search of the NQT Talent Pool.

HR 'A' and 'F' subscription customers can benefit from the Talent Pools at no additional cost. For all other customers there will be a £50 administration charge per search, however, if there are no suitable applications to send no charge will be applied.
