Safer Sleep Week - Resources to Share
As you may be aware, this week is Safe Sleep Week. To celebrate it to raise the awareness of safe sleeping all year round, the Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership have 2 campaigns to share around protecting babies.
Safer Sleep for Babies
Safer Sleep offers simple, up to date advice for families in Norfolk covering many subjects including sleep position, sleep space and co-sleeping.

All Babies Cry
In addition to the safer sleep campaign, a second wave of promotion for All Babies Cry is also being promoted. With particular focus on four main resources, and two professionals and two for families:
For professionals
- Online Webinar Workshops - system wide All Babies Cry training. To book on a session visit:
norfolklscb.org/nscb-booking/nscb-booking-training/ - Conversation starter guide - a new guide to help professionals start conversations with families about crying babies.
For professionals to share with families
- Safety plan- this is a simple record families can create at home. It helps them plan what to do if a baby keeps crying and they start to get upset or angry. This is available on justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/safersleep
- Community forum a social space for families share their experiences; ask for advice and make connections with other people in similar situations.
