SACRE introduction and questionnaire for subject leads and heads of department

Message to RE Subject Leads and Heads of Department from John Semmens, (Chair of Norfolk SACRE and Junior School RE Lead:

We are the Norfolk SACRE (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education) and are responsible for assisting and promoting the teaching of Religious Education in Norfolk. We are a group of teachers, advisors, members of the Local Authority and religious and non-religious community representatives who work together to provide guidance for schools. Many of us are volunteers who love RE and are interested in helping those responsible for the subject in Norfolk.

We created the Norfolk Agreed Syllabus 2019, a document your school may be using, and we also run training events and conferences to facilitate great RE in the county. We wanted to introduce ourselves and find out more about RE teaching in Norfolk with this short questionnaire. It is comprised of 3 sections and shouldn't take more than 10 mins to complete.

Please click here to access the SACRE survey.

We can't promise that we will be able to act on all the changes suggested as a result of this survey but the information you supply will help us shape our development plan and provide CPD in the future.

Please be aware that any information you supply to us will be used for the purposes of tailoring CPD events for Norfolk teachers in the future and will be kept securely by Norfolk County Council for this purpose alone. If you would like to answer this questionnaire anonymously that is an option, but we would love to be able to contact you in the future with details about events, networking and training opportunities.

Thank you for your time.
