Exciting new plans for Norfolk Steps!

Instant access to digital Step On is coming!

In response to identified school needs to access early supportive intervention, promoting positive behaviours through a whole-school culture and managing complex or challenging behaviours, we are developing a digitally accessible Step On course which includes a wider package of ongoing support.

From the new academic year (2022-23) this will enable schools to purchase and benefit from:

  • New updated content, supporting a trauma-aware approach
  • Flexible and core modules, enabling tailored relevance for a wider variety of school audiences
  • Instant access to CPD, that can be completed at a time convenient to you
  • Ongoing access for new members of staff
  • In-built knowledge checkers and completion certification

To help schools effectively embed the Steps principles, schools will also be able to access an enhanced offer of support, including:

  • Steps network sessions, providing opportunities for schools to practice share solutions to common and emerging behaviour challenges
  • Steps Tutors, enabling schools to develop their own in-house expertise
  • Bespoke in-school support to embed evidence-based approaches to promoting positive behaviours

Subject to availability, Step On can continue to be booked and delivered in person this academic year. From next academic year, this will become a digital offer.

Step Up remains available for schools to purchase and will continue to be delivered in person and via the Steps Tutor model.

To register your interest in purchasing Step On for your school, gaining early access to the digital offer as soon as it becomes available, or if you have any questions, please email inclusionandsend@norfolk.gov.uk.

We also welcome expressions of interest from schools who are interested in becoming a consultative group for the updated content and to support our test and learn phase next term. To participate please email the above address.
