Norfolk Music Service and Hub - Events, CPD, Brochure and Subscription

From: Krista Ribbons, Area Manager, Music Service

I am delighted to share several pieces of information with you both for the forthcoming summer term and the next academic year.

Summer CPD offer

We have arranged an array of twilight CPDs for the summer term, many of which have been suggested by teachers at networking events. Please take a look at the CPD pdf available on the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) - Norfolk Music Hub web page and register via the links provided.

Hub subscribers have unlimited access to CPDs as part of their subscription package. As part of your Hub subscription it is expected that you will attend at least two CPDs throughout the course of this academic year. If you have any trouble registering for a CPD please get in touch.

VBS22 and Woodjam

We have two very exciting projects taking place in the summer term, with opportunities for both face to face and online engagement.

Virtual Big Sing 2022 (VBS22) is continuing to support the vocal strategy within Norfolk's educational settings and we are delighted to be utilising a brand new online platform devised by Hal Leonard to host the vocal resources. Once you have registered you will be granted a free trial of the platform. This platform is also offered as part of our Hub subscription offer to primary educational settings for the next academic year.

Wood-Jam is a project to support instrumental, ukulele learning within your educational setting and we are delighted to welcome the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain to Norfolk to lead on this project.

See MI Sheet 94/22 - Virtual Big Sing 2022 and Wood-Jam - Free music events Summer 2022 in this week's eCourier for more information.

Strings Opportunity

We are delighted to welcome the Benedetti Foundation to Norfolk this May. We are offering Benedetti Foundation Music Service Sessions with Norfolk Music Hub - an opportunity for young strings players from pre grade 1 to grade 3 level to join us for a stings extravaganza.

We are also offering a twilight CPD led by the Benedetti Foundation for any strings teachers in Norfolk. To register for the CPD please see Benedetti Foundation CPD for Teachers of String Instruments (CPD) - Norfolk Music Hub.

Music Hub Brochure and Subscription

The Music Service brochure for 22/23 is now available to view online or download. You will be delighted to see that there is no price increase for our services for the next academic year.

If you do want to 'buy in' to any of our services for the next academic year I would urge you to register as soon as possible via the Hub subscription link as we have early bird incentives and will be allocating teachers on a first come first served basis from registration. As always, if you would like to discuss any of our services or support before booking, please email Krista Ribbons directly, at krista.ribbons@norfolk.gov.uk.

Live Music Week

Live Music Week is returning to educational settings across Norfolk for 12-16 September 2022. If you would like to book a performance please visit the Live Music Week 2022 - Norfolk Music Hub web page.
