11.00 - 11.40 - The 2022 Recruitment Challenge
Ian Cooper, Service Lead and Sarah Goodacre, Resourcing and Policy Lead, EducationHR at Norfolk County Council

The East of England is forecast to be short of more than 5,000 teachers by 2024. This session will explore approaches to maximise candidate availability for vacant posts.

We all know that there has been an issue with teacher recruitment and retention for many years. However, these last two years have exacerbated the issue and it's not only teachers that schools are struggling to recruit, but teaching assistants and other roles too. This session will:

  • Help you to understand what the factors are causing the challenges in school recruitment
  • Explore approaches to maximise candidate availability for your vacant posts
  • Provide you with an opportunity to ask our HR experts Ian and Sarah your questions.

We also have lots of information for recruiters and candidates on educationjobfinder.org.uk too.
