Online schools staff training around Cyber Security and the Cyber Choices programme.

Only 35% of schools train non-IT staff in cyber security - lets change that!

Throughout the next year we will be hosting a number of free training sessions throughout the year tailored for education sector staff, these will be 1 hour long and hosted online (via MS Teams) so that people from any number of schools can attend simultaneously. No prior knowledge or learning is required.

The session will cover Cyber Security (how to improve your own, and therefore by extension your schools) and introduction to the Cyber Choices programme which aims to help people make informed choices and to use their cyber skills in a legal way. (Cyber Choices is referred to on page 144 of Keeping Children Safe in Education, appendix B where Cybercrime is identified as a specific forms of abuse and safeguarding issue)

The first date is Wednesday 12th Oct 2022 1600 - 1700 and free tickets can be obtained by signing up here

The other sessions are on Jan 3rd, March 2nd, May 10th and July 10th and tickets for these future events will be released 2 months prior to the event date.

Any questions regarding the event can be sent to CyberChoices@Norfolk.police.uk
