Child exploitation: The preventative and responsive role of RSHE (KS4+)

The exploitation of young people can take several different forms and perpetrators may subject children and young people to multiple forms of abuse at the same time, such as criminal exploitation (including county lines) and sexual exploitation.

All young people are vulnerable to exploitation and schools have a critical role in teaching young people about safeguarding as part of a broad and balanced curriculum.

The RSHE curriculum provides a valuable opportunity to ensure young people have the knowledge, values, and skills to prevent, identify and seek help for themselves and peers if needed.

This workshop will focus on using RSHE implementation to prevent exploitation for pupils Key Stage 4 and above. It will take place on 28 November 2022 and will be repeated on 27 March 2023.
