Funding available to get targeted pupils more active outside of the curriculum.

All schools are invited to apply for small grants to target SEND, girls and those from culturally diverse communities and low socio-economic groups.

Funding is for extra physical activity provision, on the school site, for before school, after school, weekends and evenings. SEND group sessions can be during lunchtimes.

It can fund things like caretaking, equipment, delivery and staffing and can be used in conjunction with other funding streams and projects.

This is also a multiyear fund to enable schools to make their project sustainable longer term.

Schools are encouraged to be creative with their proposals in order to get those that aren't currently accessing their physical activity offer to engage in different opportunities to get moving more.

There is a quick turnaround for the application process BUT this funding can still enable some good, new opportunities to get off the ground next term.

There is also a brief information webinar on Thursday, 2 February at 4pm for anyone to attend.
