UEA PGCE Teacher Training Recruitment Events - 25 Feb & 2 March 2023 - Register now

The University of East Anglia will be holding PGCE Teacher Training Information Sessions in the next two weeks for anybody interested in training to teach at Primary or Secondary school levels:

  • Primary teaching (3-11 years age range): Saturday 25 February, 09.00-12.30
  • Secondary teaching (11-16 years age range with post-16 enhancement): Thursday 2 March, 16.00-19.00

Anyone thinking about a career in teaching is welcome to attend - from those making a tentative initial enquiry to those who have already made their decision and are on the verge of making their application.

If you are looking for a rewarding career where you can share your knowledge and enthusiasm, then train to teach with UEA's 38-week PGCE course and make a real difference to young peoples' lives.

The PGCE course starts each September, and you could be eligible to receive a training bursary or scholarship whilst you train. With UEA's PGCE course, you'll also graduate with 90 Master's level credits alongside gaining your Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

UEA's information sessions will start with a general information talk about UEA's PGCE programmes then there will be the opportunity for those interested to speak directly to tutors, current students and early career teachers. Members of the PGCE Admissions team will also be available to offer advice on all admissions-related questions, including:

  • Degree subject requirements
  • GCSE and A level grade requirements
  • How to gain school experience
  • Fees, funding and bursary information
