Bystander Intervention Programme

Tackling Sexual Harassment and Violence in Norfolk schools and colleges

NCC in conjunction with the Crime Commissioner's Office for Norfolk are delighted to offer a Bystander Intervention Programme free of charge to help deal with the issue of sexual harassment and abuse in our schools and colleges.

Involvement in the programme...so far!

  • 88 schools/colleges already involved (primary, secondary & FE colleges)
  • 6500 students have been trained to be active bystanders
  • 1460 staff have received the continuous professional development

What we offer:

  • Free Staff CPD on challenging sexist language
  • Free lesson plans and fully resourced lessons for RSHE curriculum
  • Advice on reporting/recording of incidents of sexual harassment/assault
  • Staff and student surveys (analysed for you)
  • Impact evaluations (analysed for you)
