Active Lives Survey - Children and Young People's view on physical activity

There are 3 weeks left to get involved in the survey.

The Department for Education and Sport England have selected approximately 50 schools in Norfolk to take part in the Active Lives Survey for Summer term 2023.

The survey measures engagement in, and attitudes towards, sport and physical activity among children and young people in school Years 1-11. This is a good opportunity to obtain pupil voice to understand whether your school's physical activity and sport offer meets the needs of the pupils.

High participation rates provide data sets for the county and your specific locality, which is key.

Thank you if you got in touch to find out more information or to let us know that your school is taking part.

There is still time to get involved. You can check if your school has been selected for the Summer Term by reviewing the list from Take the Children's Active Lives Survey - Active Norfolk.

The deadline for completing the survey is 27 July 2023.

Participating schools would receive benefits such as a full report; alongside this is an opportunity for bespoke support from Jo Thompson (Development Officer: Education, Active Norfolk). Your school would also receive a sports equipment voucher if the minimum requirement of 30 responses per question is met. As well as this, your school would gain a Healthy Schools Scheme certification.

If you would like to find out how many responses your school has achieved please send your request for data via email to Rebecca Elliott (Development Officer: Families and Communities) at rebecca.elliott@activenorfolk.org; you can also email Rebecca if you have any questions.
