Holocaust Memorial Day 2024 Fragility of Freedom - 27 Jan 2024

Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) encourages remembrance in a world scarred by genocide. We promote and support Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) - the international day on 27 January 2024 - to remember the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of other people murdered under Nazi persecution of other groups and during more recent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

Use this event to promote inclusion and equality within your school and develop sustainable whole-school improvement.

Whether you have limited time, and just need some posters and assembly ideas, or you are looking to launch a whole-school approach with pupils empowered to lead, we have something to support you.

You will be able to access our Padlet of resources, with everything you need at your fingertips!

Join our twilight webinar on Tuesday 5 December for lots of ideas and support to use the resources to achieve maximum impact.

Attendance will enable delegates to:

  • Learn more about Holocaust Memorial Day 2024, including how this links to guidance and legislation, including equalities and British Values.
  • Be able to measure and evidence impact towards whole-school improvement and Ofsted judgements.
  • Access a Padlet of pre-prepared resources (available only after the webinar), that can be used as standalone activities, or to develop a whole-school approach.
  • Know how to identify and provide targeted support to children, young people and their families.

All our content is suitable for primary and secondary schools.

If you have celebrated this event previously, or have some ideas to share with other schools, please contact us so we can practice share this as widely as possible, making the biggest difference possible to all our Norfolk children and young people.
