Young Carers Action Day Webinar 29 Feb 24

It's Young Carers Action Day on Wednesday 13 March 2024!

  • Young Carers Action Day is an annual nationwide event organised by the Carers Trust aimed at raising awareness of the importance of young carers across the country. It has been celebrated for the last six years and helps to raise awareness for young carers who make massive contributions to their communities and families, the day also raises awareness of the pressures and challenges that young carers may face.
  • It is believed that as many as 1 in 5 secondary school-aged children have been or will be put in the position of being a young carer, often being responsible for a family member who is ill or disabled.
  • You may have previously heard of Young Carers Awareness Day, which has now been renamed to Young Carers Action Day. This important day is focused on what action we can take to support young carers. Plus, the age range as been extended to cover young carers up to the age of 25, so young adults can be included, too.
