Working on Worries (WoW): Fully Funded Training and Updated Documents

Following three successful rounds of training, the Working on Worries project has trained 107 pastoral workers and support staff to deliver Parent-Led CBT for Child Anxiety Problems for primary aged children within their schools. We are running further training in Parent-Led CBT, taking place in March. This will consist of two consecutive days of in-person training on the 6 and 7 of March, supplemented by a day of online training on the 21 that enables schools to offer the intervention in an online format. As this is a fully funded programme, there is no cost to schools who wish to participate with the exception of releasing staff to be trained and the cost of additional intervention books if schools decide to provide copies for families to keep.

It has been wonderful to see the passion of school staff who are engaging with the programme to develop new skills with which to support their students' mental health. We have continued to receive positive feedback from school staff about the training. Looking at the feedback we received, it is clear that our newly trained pastoral workers and support staff saw the value of the programme.

Thoroughly enjoyable course. We will see less children with attendance discretions, less children using wellbeing services and happier children.

I love this and feel it will be a very useful and effective tool to support families and children.

Great training. Enjoyed it and feel ready to get started.
