If there are more applications for places than there are places available, the Trust will admit children in the following order of priority:
1 Looked after children (previously known as children in the care of the Local Authority) and all previously looked after children. Previously looked after children are children who were looked after but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a child arrangement order or special guardianship order).
2 Children who have a sibling on roll at the academy at the time of the proposed admission. Siblings are “brothers or sisters living at the same address including adopted children, step-brothers, step-sisters and children in foster care within a family unit.
3 Children of staff at the academy a) where the member of staff has been employed at the academy for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the academy is made; and/or b) the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage;
4. Children who currently attend Great Yarmouth Primary Nursery;
5. Children living nearest the academy, by straight line distance

All children whose education,
health and care (EHC) plan name Great Yarmouth Primary Academy will be admitted
before any other places are allocated.
If Great Yarmouth Primary Academy is not oversubscribed, all applicants will be offered a place.
In the event that Great Yarmouth Primary Academy receives more applications than the number of places it has available, places will be given to those children who meet any of the criteria set out below, in order until all places are filled.
1.
Highest priority will be given to looked after children and all previously
looked after children who apply for a place at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy.
2. Priority will next be given
to children with siblings at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy. Siblings include
step siblings, foster siblings, adopted siblings and other children living permanently at the same address.
Priority will not be given to children with siblings who are former pupils of
Great Yarmouth Primary Academy.
3. Priority will next be given to children of staff at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy, in either of the following circumstances: The member of staff has been employed at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made, or the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage
4. Priority will next be given to children who currently
attend Great Yarmouth Primary Academy Nursery
5. Priority
will next be given to children living nearest Great Yarmouth Primary Academy,
by a straight line distance
