Admissions policy

School admission policy : 2016/17 (Agreed)

Children who turn five between 1st September and the end of February will be admitted full-time at the beginning of the autumn term. Children who turn five between 1st March and 31st August will start part-time for the first two weeks of the autumn term with the aim to build to full-time by the end of the autumn term. Children will be admitted in the following order of priority:

  1. children with a statement of Special Educational Needs naming the school
  2. looked after children
  3. those living within the parish of Sculthorpe;
  4. those with a brother or sister already attending the school;
  5. those whose parents can genuinely prove they have a preference for their child to be educated in a small, Church of England Primary School. (A reference from the parents local clergy will be required.)

If all children within any of the above rules cannot be offered a place, the highest priority will be given to children living nearest to the school within that rule. To determine who lives nearest, distance will be measured on a straight line “crow fly” basis, using Ordnance Survey data.
