Norfolk Consultation on Admission Arrangements in Norfolk for September 2012
Norfolk County Council is required to consult on the proposed co-ordination schemes for September 2012. Additionally all other admission authorities are required to consult on their proposed admission arrangements and consultation must be concluded by 1 March each year.
This document details Norfolk County Council's proposed co-ordination schemes including the proposed timetables for Norfolk primary and secondary school admissions for September 2012. It also includes proposed changes to the admission arrangements for all Norfolk community and voluntary controlled schools for which the County Council is the admission authority.
An electronic form will enable consultees to respond to these proposals. Alternatively a paper from can be printed from the Admissions website. The County Council will also display on School Finder on our website admission arrangements for individual Foundation, VA and Trust schools as well as Academies who wish to use this facility and schools can also comment on these proposals.
There is now a legal requirement for the local authority to consult with parents on the proposed admission arrangements and we would be grateful if you could advise the parents in your school that the consultation is now open and how they can access it and respond. The Local Authority will also be publishing the consultation via a public notice in the Eastern Daily Press, as required by legislation.
The main points of the consultation are:
No changes proposed to the co-ordination scheme (including in-year admissions) or the current timetable
Changes to the existing Managed Move Scheme.
The consultation on proposed admission limits for September 2012 is being undertaken separately and is available in MI sheet 2/11 in Ecourier 347.
Responses must be returned by 1 March 2011 and can either be input directly via the online response form or by completing the paper response form which can be found on our website and returned to:
