Question Level Analysis in RAISEonline
Question Level Analysis in RAISEonline:
Enhanced Nottingham City Council ANSAT Service
Question Level Analysis allows schools to identify trends in strengths and weaknesses at different Assessment Focuses in the National Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Tests, and QCA Optional Tests in Years 3, 4 and 5. This is valuable information schools can use in self evaluation and school improvement planning.
The analysis allows school to target intervention more specifically to the needs of particular groups of pupils and set effective whole school curricular targets. Schools can also use the "Scatterplot" analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses for specific underachieving pupils, for example to plan 1-1 tuition targets.
Over the past two years many schools used the Nottingham City Council "ANSAT" (ANalysis of SATs) service which enabled these schools to make use of the powerful Question Level Analysis and Scatterplot tools in RAISEonline to identify strengths and weaknesses by the pupil groups used by RAISEonline. Schools using the service to provide analysis of Optional Tests would also now be able to make use of the value added Scatterplot analysis for Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils.
Question Level Analysis will be available in RAISEonline for all participating schools by 3rd September 2011, in readiness for use at the start of the Autumn term. Schools will not have to exporting or import files as this will all taken care of externally.
The service covers:
Item-level data entry for KS1, year 3 to 5 and KS2 test papers for all subjects
Preparation and Importing of Data into RAISEonline
The cost of the service to Norfolk schools is £2.15 per pupil per subject. For example a school submitting year 3 optional test papers in both English and maths for 10 pupils = 10 x (£2.15 + £2.15) = £43.00. There is a one-off courier charge of £35 per school and will cover both the pick up and return of papers. Schools can choose which subjects and year groups they would like analysed.
