Fronter Learning Platform Contract Renewal

In October 2011 MI Sheet 242/11 we updated secondary schools on the position with the Fronter Learning Platform contract renewal.

The existing contract with Fronter expires on 29th March 2012 and has been funded by Children’s Services for the same period. From 30th March 2012 schools will have to pay for access to Fronter and agree to be included in the contract for a 2 year period.

The MI sheet gave details of the proposed contract pricing subject to buy-in and a high level specification of what the contract would cover. We asked schools to respond to tell us if they are interested in buying into the contract extension for Fronter by 4th November 2011. Only 6 schools responded by the initial deadline. We then chased via Network Managers Group and individual schools by email with a revised deadline of 25th November 2011.

Based on the low number of interested schools in the County we have agreed with Children’s Services that it is not viable to proceed with a County contract renewal with Fronter.

For those schools who have expressed an interest in renewing we will pass your details to Fronter for their contracts staff to contact your school directly. They will also respond on any individual queries you raised, particularly related to storage.
