Post-16 ALPS Data Service
Following presentations and discussions at both the Heads of Sixth Form Network and the 11-19 Strategy Group we have agreed a contract with Alps – Alkemygold Ltd (ALPS) to offer their data services to all Norfolk post-16 providers. ALPS deliver an in-depth analysis of A2, AS and BTec results with training and support as well as guidance on target setting. The first analysis of A Level results is usually available within 8 working days of sending data to ALPS. In the first year this also includes an individual feedback visit facilitated by experienced ALPS consultants and the Local Authority. Furthermore, there are opportunities for training through up to three half-day seminars in year one at a reduced rate.
Institutions already signed up to the ALPS service can still take advantage of the Local Authority pricing. The Norfolk project agreed with ALPS represents a significant saving for individual institutions.
The service offered through Norfolk County Council includes the A2 reports for each institution, with an option to add AS or BTec reports at a discount of 40%. This contract is offered to all Norfolk maintained schools, academies, sixth form colleges and further education colleges.
Cost:
There is a flat charge of £600+VAT for 2013/14 A2 Report, Feedback visit and Training. This compares favourably to a normal cost of £1013 to £1398 +VAT for Norfolk institutions. Additional reports for AS or BTec will only cost £300 for any Norfolk provider in 2013. This represents a 40% discount on the cost of reports for the smallest providers. From 2014/15 the charge for any report will be based on student numbers (ranging from £500 to £885 per institution).
