Ofsted Inspection of LA Support for School Improvement
There will be an Ofsted Inspection of Norfolk LA's support for school improvement next week. This is based on the new framework and handbook.
The lead inspector, John Seal, will be accompanied by Margaret Farrow, a team inspector. There will be two shadow inspectors. It would appear that most of the activity will take place at County Hall.
The Lead Inspector has drawn up a programme of interviews and if you're involved in these, many thanks in advance for your input.
We're all aware of the challenges faced by some parts of the Norfolk education system. 66% of our schools are now good or better and it has been heartening to see the commitment amongst so many Headteachers and Governors to push this much further. You'll be aware of the Council's paper 'A Good School for Every Norfolk Learner'. We very much hope that Ofsted's visit next week will help us on towards this ambition.
