Additional Support for Families, a Norfolk Family Focus update
Norfolk Family Focus Requests for Support
Firstly, please see the attached Request for Support Guidance on how the national criteria can help identify and support more families. Attention is drawn to changes and amendments to the identifying criteria for anti-social behaviour and attendance and exclusions. The new Request for Support Form is easier to use which will assist completion.
Secondly, Norfolk Family Focus are now in a position where they can identify and work with a bigger cohort of families in Year Two than originally envisaged. To ensure more families can be identified your current allocation has been revised and a more open referral pathway has been agreed so there is no longer a restriction on how many families each cluster can refer.
Where appropriate it may be relevant to identify groups of families with similar needs in your schools and cluster. Your local Partnership Co-ordinator can work with you to agree a way forward to address the specific needs of this group of families. However, this is not always the best way to work with families and therefore the usual 'request for support' process for individual families should be followed where individual family work is necessary.
