Norfolk Transition Survey
Norfolk’s three headteacher associations (NPHA, NSEL and NASSH) are working with representatives from across the Norfolk education system – schools from across the County, the LA, academy groups, the three dioceses, FE colleges – to join up thinking and develop consensus on some key issues that are relevant to all: term structures, transition and assessment without levels. The first session of this cross-phase working part was held on 30th January and notes from that meeting are available to see here.
We have two task and finish groups set up – one for ‘Term Structures and Transition’ and one for ‘Assessment without Levels’ - to develop proposals to present back to the wider group in May. Agreed proposals for a Norfolk model on any element will then be offered to all schools at all phases as options to consider.
As part of their research, the Term Structures & Transition group would be grateful if you could complete this short survey on your arrangements for when pupils transfer to the next phase of education in another setting, and your thoughts on options for early transition. For the purposes of this survey, we are looking at the physical transition of your pupils rather than your wider transition programmes. The survey can be accessed through this link: www.surveymonkey.com/s/VX7B3NW (please remember to click ‘done’ at the end so that your responses are submitted). The survey will be open until Monday 10th March.
If you would like further information about any element of this cross-phase work, do get in touch.
Many thanks
The Norfolk Term Structures & Transition group.
