'Your Future' intended destination questionnaire for Y10 pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan

The local authority has a responsibility to ensure that there is sufficient, suitable post 16 provision to meet the needs of all young people. One of our priorities is to support planning of new provision to meet the specialist needs of learners with SEND. We do this by analysis of current and future needs and by working in partnership with post 16 learning providers.

We are currently undertaking a deep dive into the future learning and support needs of year 10 pupils with an EHCP and the 'Your Future' questionnaire will provide us with rich information on the future ideas, ambitions and skills needs of this cohort. The results of the questionnaire will be used by the Post 16 SEND Learning Strategy Group to assess how current provision can be improved and to plan future provision. The group has representation at senior level from special and complex needs schools, colleges, training providers, children's services, health and adult services.

The questionnaire is provided as an online SmartSurvey and is also attached in an Easy Read version. Your support in ensuring that it is completed by all of your pupils with an EHCP is greatly appreciated and we will share back with you the results for your school and a summary of survey findings. The closing date for completion is Friday 8th July.
