Keeping Children Safe in Education, DfE (September 2019)
Further to MI Sheet 98/19, the LA model Safeguarding Policy has been revised to reflect the changes that will become statutory on 2 September 2019. The Policy can be found here.
The whole school training package and modules will be available via the My School pages by the end of the Summer Term 2019 . Schools should access training materials and templates directly from the Norfolk Schools' website when updating procedures to ensure that they have access to the most up to date guidance.
All other forms and templates will be updated over the Summer Holiday period and will be available for beginning of the Autumn Term 2019.
What should schools & colleges do?
- Read KCSiE.
- Review all relevant policy documents and procedures in order to implement the required changes in preparation for 2 September.
- Ensure that the final version of the guidance is accessed and disseminated to staff when it is published.
