Interim Sickness Insurance Scheme
The Sickness Insurance Scheme is in place to provide mutual aid and share risks; it is not an insurance scheme. The scheme is beneficial to maintained schools as it shares the risk. However, the exceptional circumstances of the Covid-19 risk means that the scheme could break without additional measures in place.
