Become a School of Sanctuary

Schools of Sanctuary is not just about asylum seekers and refugees - it is about creating a safe and welcoming place for everyone in the school regardless of where people come from, their gender, sexuality, religion or appearance, and to celebrate the contributions that they make. Promoting inclusion and celebrating diversity are an integral part of this journey.

Norfolk County Council is committed to promoting anti-racism in schools. The School of Sanctuary Award supports your school in celebrating your positive ethos towards diversity and equality. We are fortunate to have 14 Schools of Sanctuary in Norfolk leading by example by sharing and spreading their good practice.
