Education Endowment Fund project - EAL

The School Improvement team in Enfield in collaboration with Educator Solutions (Norfolk County Council) is looking for schools across the UK to participate in an Education Endowment Foundation research project that we are carrying out in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University.

We will be trialling a cross-curricular approach to literacy that is designed to raise the attainment of all Year 6 pupils, particularly pupils for whom English is an additional language. The ideal school is at least 11% EAL, two forms of entry and has a strong literacy leader or member of SLT who could lead the project. Schools that don't fully meet these criteria may also be considered.

The attached information sheet provides further details of the project.

If you are interested in being part of this exciting new initiative please complete the attached Expression of Interest form. If you have any questions, please ring Raul Alvarez-Conte on 01603 307780 or Agnieszka Ciepiela on 01603 307784 to discuss the project further. Forms need to be returned by 15 July 2016.
