Early Years & SEN Panel & Specialist Resource Base Process
We have finalised the Early Years & SEN Panel Guidance document and further improved procedures and documents for Specialist Resource Bases.
The attached documents should be used with immediate effect.
Please note that Request for Support Forms should be sent to the Early Years & SEN Panel appropriate to the preferred SRB, not the Panel appropriate to the pupil's home address which was previously the case.

1. | Early Years & SEN Panel - Guidance Document The three EY & SEN Panels replace the old five Single Area Panels and are the admissions authority for Specialist Resource Bases |
2. | SRB Request for Support Process Map This process map outlines how to access support from SRBs. |
3. | Request for Support Form This is the form to be completed by the Home school (where the pupil is on roll), in conjunction with the preferred SRB and appropriate professionals. |
4. | Admissions Letter This letter will be sent by the administrator supporting the Early Years & SEN Panel to confirm that a place is available at an SRB. |
5. | Decline Letter This letter will be sent by the administrator supporting the Early Years & SEN Panel to advise that a place is not available at an SRB and to suggest alternative support. |
6. | Inter-School Agreement This letter will be sent by the SRB to the Home School to confirm the placement and the ongoing support required from the Home School during the placement. |
7. | 4-Term Process Map This process map illustrates the support required from all parties during an SRB placement. |
8. | Information Leaflet for Parent/Carer This leaflet can be given to parents/carers considering an SRB placement and will also be sent out with the Admissions Letter. |
9. | Operational Guidance Document - to follow This document is in development and will be available soon. It will bring together all the above documents and processes, and provide further guidance, all in one document. |
